Anna Zervaki graduated as a Mining and Metallurgical Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens in 1989. After graduation she joined the Laser Applications Group at IESL/FORTH, and in 1991 she moved to MIRTEC SA, in Volos Greece. In 2002, she joined the Materials Laboratory, where currently she is working as a Laboratory Teaching Staff.

Her research interests are in the field of Structure-Processing-Properties-Performance interactions in metallic materials/Computational alloy thermodynamics and kinetics/Laser welding/FSW/Shape memory alloys/Failure analysis of Mechanical Components and Structures. She is co-author of about 85 papers published in International journals and Conference Proceedings, and more than 300 failure analysis reports to the Industry. Since 2010 she is President of the Hellenic Metallurgical Society, and is actively involved in the organisation of EUROMAT 2017, as the chair of the Managing Committee.
