The Main Board of the Polish Materials Science Society awarded BEng, PhD Łukasz Maj from the Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Science of Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow the prize for the best doctoral dissertation in the field of Materials Science for 2018. Dissertation title: "Characteristics of the joints made of the titanium alloys produced by using multilayer Ni/Al and Ti/Al foils”.
